The Eiffel Tower was the central inspiration for the design of this opera set in Paris. The stage design is a scenic device made of an intricate set of platforms and staircases. It sits on top of a circular rotating platform that moves throughout the play making the scene change as seamless as possible. Throughout the opera the cyclorama in the background changes colors reflecting the mood of the scenes.
