THE STORY OF VASCO
Theater Alvear | 2012
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Position: Stage Designer

On this play a barber is tasked with taking a letter through a forest on enemy territory. For the aesthetic of the design I decided to use elements of the expressionist movement. Taking as a base the deformation of reality as one of the main focuses of the design. Using a bright color palette to highlight the naive nature of the main character. I wanted the trees and crows to act as silent characters so they are present at all times. The tree design involved a structure lined with tulle and organza that could magically make them appear solid or translucent depending on the light.
